hello from Pakistan

I am 32 male form Lahore Pakistan. i been riding bikes since 2006 when i was introduced to a sports bike (cbr600rr) throught a friend. In summer of 2006 i managed to buy one. After 8 months and riding some what 30k(km) i sold it. Just coz the it was too fast and i could not get off the road and go anywhere and everywhere. I jumped on few other bikes before ending up getting a Yamaha XT600E 2002. When i got it had 1000miles on it. Its was almost brand new.

I know how to ride but i don't know how to maintain or what parts i need to change, Thats where YOU (ABR) comes in to help me. I been part of ADVrider.com but its more of american and XT is not there so can't get much help there .
After going through the forum i see a lot of crazy people here who sound very friendly yet full of knowledge and i hope to learn from you all.

Am always looking to make new friends . Who know i get to ride with you some day.
Thank you.
KhanEz.

for learning how to do basic mechanical jobs on the bike..

try thumpertalk, there should be a section on your bike with tutorials and stickys
you tube vids
and see if you can import a haynes or clymer manual book on your bike
have a search around for an XT forum and might be bits and bobs on Adventure rider

I'm sure XT riders will correct me and give you some more accurate locations of XT advice

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
