Hello from the Cotswolds UK
A warm hello to all the adventure travellers out there.
Just taking the opportunity to introduce myself, a biker & adventure traveller of some 30 odd years. I have been riding throughout the UK & Europe since buying a Triumph Tiger Cub, way back in 79. It didn't take long to graduate to something bigger & my adventures began to take on a whole new perspective.
In recent years I have ridden in North Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & throughout India. Returning to the Himalayas' later this year!
In the UK I ride a Triumph Speed Triple, although as I'm awaiting an op it's sat under a tarp at the moment.
Would be great to find some adventure loving souls to communicate with whilst I'm laid up, to share stories, encouragement & retain some sanity.
Look forward to hearing from you all.

Hi Sam, Welcome to the site.
I am not a million miles away from you - I live in Alcester but am just 31 days away from the start of my RTW trip so I will be away for at least 6 months. You can follow our progress (me and my mate Mark) at my blog strimstrum.blogspot.com
I took a look at your site and thought I recognised one of the pics as being at the top of Nemrut Dagi in Turkey - was there last August.

Thanks all....
Feeling better already, just knowing there are a few other adventure travellers out there.
Well spotted Martin, that certainly is Nemrut. Ended up there by accident about three years ago after making a hasty retreat from Georgia when Russia invaded....
Good luck with your RTW trip, I will keep an eye on your blog. Perhaps we should hook up on your return & share some travellers tales.
Sam

Not sure where abouts in the cotswolds you are but..
If you feel like meeting some like minded souls the next Bristol area Pub meeting is taking place at the King william on sunday the 27th March at 5pm.
I hope you have recovered from your op.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
