People have done tours on odder bikes than a ZXR - someone recently went round the world on a pretty standard Triumph Rocket 3 cruiser through I suspect that may be more comfortable than a ZXR for that sort of journey.
To reflect what an old man I am I have an airhead BMW R80. Not GS or anything fancy, just a plain R80. It is coming up to 33 years old but it has only 27000 miles on it as it was laid up for 13-14 years until May last year.
My plan is to go to Egypt on the bike going scuba diving in as many different seas as possible - I think my count is eight (English Channel, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Marmaris, Black, Caspian and Red Seas with a possible side trip to the Persian Gulf). Why? I enjoy motorbikes, travel and scuba diving so why not combine them? I won’t be in a rush so I can take my time and enjoy the trip.

27? Spring chicken! I had forgotten that ZXR’s came from so long ago - Ias that the bike that has the “Ram Air” ducts on it? And if so, do they really work or was it marketing spiel?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
