New guy, Looking for info/advice and friends.

I guess ill start with an intro, My name is Allister I am 27 and from Toronto, Canada. I currently ride a 2012 Vstar 950 and have been riding for almost 3 years now, regret not doing it sooner. I have joined this forum to meet people and try and get some advice and info and learn as much as I can. I want to try and plan a trip for 2019 to europe. hoping for 2-3 months trek, scottland to romania and everything in between. Not sure of exact locations or plans yet, but any advice or tips you guys have, Ideas, locations whatever it is. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forum Allister.
2-3 months might be too short, or waaay too long, depending on where you're tastes lie and how fast you like to move! Touring the cities it's a densely packed area. Aiming for mountains there's sort of a crescent to follow starting in the western Pyrenees and heading anticlockwise which will take you to Scandinavia eventually.
There's loads of info on here but you need to narrow the search down a bit before folk will give you specific suggestions.
Enjoy the planning stage, it's part of the fun!
Ride safe,
Simon.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
