Time to say hello from London, UK!
Hello to everyone on the HUBB!
My name is Ben, and I've been hammering the website for too long now without saying hello.
I'm currently selling up my worldly belongings in preparation for a round the world trip starting in early 2016.
My outline plan is to do a prologue trip around Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way (in order to test my gear and make adjustments before I'm too far from home to fix big problems), then head up to Scotland, across to Europe riding up to the northern tip of Norway, back down through central Europe, the Alps, the med.
At this point decide I'll decide whether to do a full trans-Africa (based on my timing of the seasons and the political state of countries along the route). If Africa is a no-go, I'll do a raid into Morocco before heading east and starting the round the world route.
I'll be looking to do as much of the trip on my bike, but there are of course places where I will have to ship cargo.
I'll be building a website to blog my travel experiences, and by way of logging everything I'll learn, all my kit, and everything I do basically!
Well thats it, hello everybody! Watch this space!
Ben

Welcome to the HUBB.
If you head East, and plan to go through the "Stans" and Russia, keep in mind that you cannot get a Russian visa on the road. You have to apply in your country of residence.
Maybe see you on the road !
Cheers,

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
