I could be wrong, but I don't think such a thing exists in Pak. Try contacting any HU communities that may exist.

Sorry off-topic (I dont know about any rental possibilities there, either)..

but anybody been through Pakistan lately, and how was the situation there? Any forbidden areas east between Quetta and Multan, for example? I rode through in November, it was quite ok at the time, but seemed to get a lot worse after Bhutto killing.

They are such nice people all over the country, but security situation still seems quite volatile.

bike rental in pakistan this summer

Hello Hamzashah,

Thanx a lot for the info ... i just contacted both of them

i was in pakistan in 2003 during 9 months, riding a bit everywhere and LOVED IT !!! iran before, india after.

I plan to go to Pakistan this summer for one month (july, august) alone or with one friend. We are French, based in Paris. We are experienced bikers in France and abroad (also in difficult countries where the roads are not so good).

we want to rent small cheap reliable bikes, like Japanese 125 cc or more to go to KKH, Gilgit, Skardu, in the mountains, then go back. We drive slowly to enjoy the beauty of the country. Just bike rental, no need guide or organization.

I was at the Pakistan embassy in Paris this morning, no problem for tourist visa apparently. They require a kind of tourist official invitiation paper from a travel agency or hotel.

so we are looking people to help us with bike rental and official invitation paper p? Also for a guesthouse in Islamabad on arrival.

take care
g'day

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
