I have an update on this ferry.

There are (normally) 2 ferry lines:
- Bandarabbas to Sjarjah
- Bandar e-Lengeh to Dubai

However (as of 10-12-2022):

Last week I have send an email to Valfajr that I would like the use the ferry Bandarabbas to Sjarjah for me and my motorbike. They answered that "due to some reasons" until mid January the ferry does not accept vehicles. They forwarded me to their office in Bandar e-Lengeh to use the ferry from there to Dubai instead.

I emailed with them and I got confirmed that this was possible. I needed to be a day early with my bike for the custom procedure. Planning to take the ferry tomorrow I was at 8 at the Valfajr office in Bandar e-Lengeh. Besides the ferry is not going tomorrow because of string wind they also told me that the port in Dubai is not accepting vehicles and vehicles need to arrive at Sjarjah port. (the guy who emailed me that it was possible was called in as he knows it is not possible).

Anyway, it is not possible to go by ferry from Iran to Dubai (and probably vice vers) in december 2022.

They did offer an alternative. They (another company) can ship my bike with a carco ship from Bandar e-Lengeh to Sjarjah and I go with the normal ferry to Dubai. Beside a bit expensive, 400 dollar for only the bike, it also means a lot of hassle with paperwork (no idea, how that works with the Carnet as I have to hand over the bike).

Now debating with myself if I go this route or go by Iraq and Saoudi Arabia.
