Pakistan entry from Iran and exit to India.

I have to make an itinerary for my Pakistan visa application. They want to know where and when I'll be entering and leaving. I'm planning to ride overland from Iran and exit into India. I had not planned it to that level of detail prefering to plot routes as I go. Can anyone recommend me the appropriate entry and exit points which are likely to be accepted by an official and any points of interest which can make my application more authentic? Many thanks

I normally look up Lonely Planet and grab the top ten things to see in that country to write on the visa application form. When you write on it, it doesn't have to be exactly what you are doing.

I wrote ill be in Pakistan for 14 days and im still here 5 months later...

Anyway here it is for you....

Entry from Iran - Taftan (The only boarder between countries)
Quetta
Khairpur
Multan
Lahore
Exit into India - Wagah Boarder (Again the only boarder between countries)

NOTE:
You must drive this route - do not think you can go from Quetta straight across to Multan - this is an extremely dangerous place and has been CLOSED to all foreigners for some time.

This itinerary is actually the most boring you can think of. To see the real beauty of Pakistan, then you need to head north to Gilgit-Baltistan area at least just drive the Karakoram Highway if your going to do this then your Itinerary will look like this:

Entry from Iran - Taftan
Quetta
Khairpur
Multan
Lahore
Islamabad
Chillas
Gilgit
Hunza
Skardu
Exit into India - Wagah Boarder

Ive just put the main places in as there are hundreds of places you can see do...

Please check out my website as im here right now exploring.

Very well explained Danielle. I would like to add that to cross the Wagah border you have to return to Lahore.

Cheers

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
