Pakistan -> Kyrgyzstan August 2018
Hi all,
it seems most people to the opposite but we're planning to cross China around August this summer (dates are flexible), Khunjerab to Irkeshtam (or Torugart or Kumla). We're two in a land cruiser.
Anyone interested in sharing a tour ?

I might be interested, although August might be a bit late - I'm waiting for them to announce the dates for the Shandur Top Polo Festival and then will probably plan from there.

Hi
Did you get a visa for Pakistan already? And where?
So far I'm informed that you can get it only in your own country....
I d be interested to share with you. Problem is only the pak visa. I am currently in TL with my car. Planning to cross Myanmar to India in March....

@hsinclai: Shandur Shandur top festival is end of July (in 2017 it was 29-31), so we're in sync. Let's try and find a couple other participants !
@toyotahiace: yeah, only in your home country, the rule is pretty tightly enforced . I've submitted mine in Switzerland, it was pretty simple. My partner is French so it has to be done in Paris and that is much harder. Long-time travelers send their passeport home for some relative to do the visa for them. Or maybe in some country you could "get" temporary residency..?

Welcome to Pakistan.
I found Shandhoor prettier without the Polo festival when it gets too dusty and noisy.
Any time is good time for Pakistan
Cheers

Our plans have changed and we won't do China this time, so thanks for those who responded but as far as we're concerned the case is closed.
Don't give up though, Pakistan is awesome !

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
