Dili (East-Timor) to Darwin (Australia) shipping is only possible with container ship. They do not take passengers to these boats, so you need to fly.
This is the only option.

26TH FEB 2014.doc
there is a shipping schedule attached from Dili to Darwin. I still haven't got any companions to share the container. The best option is 22/03 Time Spirit but I'm not in time for this. So the next one on 07/04 is more preferable.

Timor Leste - Dili to Darwin Shipping Motorcycles
Ok Guys, here's the wood yet again !
Ocean Freight USD360.00 per motorbike (incl. the BAF)
Container Service Fee USD 60.00 per motorbike
East Timor Tax 2.64% of the freight
Document Collect Charge USD 30.00 per Bill of Lading
The vessel is a barge, you must clean your bike to perfection, you do not have to hire a whole container, your bike will not be considered urgent and delays are common. Bribes in Dili work :-)

We stayed at Villa Verde hotel. They were really great with letting us clean & tinker there.

Hi
Have you tried Perkins Shipping (may now be called Toll?) In 2011 we wheeled our bikes on, no hassle and no need to fill /pay for a whole 20ft space, you just pay for volume used
Good luck

Thanks Dave! Looks like I need a new battery for my bike. Have you got a email from me already? I'm in Larantuka now. Eastern port of Flores. The last jump to Kupang on Monday.

Sure, I keep in touch with them. The next ship on 22-24 of March. I want to be in time. The only bike cleaning takes a couple of days!
