tires/bike shop in Chaing Mai or BKK (Thailand)
Hi mates,
can any of you recommend a bike shop in Chiang Mai or Bangkok?
We have to do some small repairs + we are in need of new tires for the Himalaya-part of our trip.
tire size: 130/80-18 and 100/90-19
semi-offroad tires are preferred like Mitas E07, Heidenau K60, Duro or something simular. no nobbies!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers
Panny

Thanks for all replies!
German Joe is Chiang Mai´s number one from my point of view. But he´s usually totally booked out.
He has sent us to G3, which turned out to "solid". Good work!
Since nobody in Chiang Mai could get any of my favorit tires, I gave it a try in BKK with not much more success. Ended up with a Pirelle MT90 front and one Michelin Anarkee II front, which is okay but not really what I desired for the Himalaya.
Here are two usefull links for finding workshops etc. in BKK:

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
