acerbis tank, cant find one
Hi all,
I've seen in a thread on here that someone has an acerbis 23L tank fitted to an xt.
I've looked around and cant find anything for the XT. does anyone know if the acrebis
is for the xt or are there other tanks that will fit without to much messing about.

Ah fellow Kiwi eh bro (well token one) your best bet is to try & source an ex Aussie army tank then on ebay Australia, they do come up now & again.
Ive got one sitting right next to me (the bike not a tank).
EDIT: Lookey what i just spotted (not an army one bit Acerbis 23lt) here.

96-up models are easy to find acerbis gastanks for (can still be purchased new). 90-95, not so much, they seem rare.

Acerbis 23l tank problem
I've had an Acerbis 23l tank on my 2002 XT600e for about 30000km. I've been very pleased with it until my last trip where it was obviously banging down on the oil return pipe on bad roads - and cracked it.
Which is what I was hoping to find here - someone who knows a solution to this problem?
Attached (not a great) picture of the bike and tank.
