Aftermarket wiring looms

Hi guys,
Does anyone know of anywhere that makes up aftermarket wiring looms?
I bought a wiring loom from ebay for my 1996 XT600e that I bought as a project but it was from a 2000 model and it appears to be a different layout and also on closer inspection some of the wires and connectors arent in the best condition so would like to buy a complete new loom if possible.
If aftermarket are not available does anyone have an idea on price for an original yam loom from a dealer?

Cheers
Lee

I can't help you with new loom prices, but If you try Classic bike magazine there's adverts for both autoelectricians and autoelectrical components.

GOOGLE really is your friend

You have not said what your frame number is so impossible to confirm that data below is the right one.
An approximation indicates that the part you want may be number 4PT8259000 and costs around £164.82

Dealers in Fife:
Alan Duffus (Motorcycles) Ltd 19-21 St. Clair St KIRKCALDY Fife KY1 2QF Tel: 01592 264135
Dave Grieve Motorcycles 19 Sandwell St Buckhaven LEVEN Fife KY8 1BY Tel: 01592 712697
Dunfermline Motor Cycles 161 Chalmers St DUNFERMLINE Fife KY12 8DG Tel: 01383 732952
Grant Motorcycles Burnbank Garage Cupar Rd Pitscottie CUPAR Fife KY15 5TB Tel: 01334 828000
Rumblurs Motor Cycles St. Clair Business Centre St. Clair St KIRKCALDY Fife KY1 2NW Tel: 01592 644659

Failing that - send a request direct through to Yamaha here

It's amazing what you can find on Google

Thanks for the help guys, unfortunatly with the bike being stolen recovered the frame and engine numbers have been removed but im informed that it is a 1996 4PT model which has the later frame design but still used the 3TB engine (changed in 1997). The loom I bought was from a 200 4PT but some of the connectors just dont seem to be in the right place, most notably the connectors for the TCI box are at the rear of the loom just behing the rectifier connectors but the TCI is further forward underneath the seat. Does anyone know if there is any major difference between a loom for a 3TB and a 4PT?

1996 is a bad year mate!
Some XT600E's are the 1995 model but sold in 1996!

If you got some spare time, just take both looms apart from the bike and place them side by side and compare them...

Merry Christmas!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
