back spring adjuster
Hi Klaus,
Travelling through South America at the moment in Suriname. Riding a xt600Z tenere 1990 model. The backspring Is bad, and i'm planning on buying a good one in Brasil at the Yamaha dealer.
I'm wondering how far i can adjust the back spring adjuster. Now I've got 1 cm of threat under the adjuster. How far can I go.
Thank foor the info Mark

I guess you can go untill you have just one winding left on the outside. The strength of the coils comes from the windings that are in touch with eachother. Leaving one outside makes sure all inside threat is used.
Good luck
