Baglux Tankbag for an XT ?
Hi All,
I've got a Baglux tank cover on my 2002 Yamaha XT 600E, I could really do with a tankbag for the bike. Does anyone out there use a "City" or "Dzeta" Baglux tankbag ( with the quick release fasteners on the tankcover)? I've tried a friends large sized Baglux tankbag on and it's too long to fit - the above two tankbags look like they should fit, but if anyone could confirm and perhaps let me know what they're like to get on with, it would be much appreciated.
Cheers Mike

Mike, Baglux don't really make a satisfactory option for short tanks IMHO. On my Tiger and my XT250 I've used the baglux tank cover as a way of securing ordinary (and cheap) magnetic bags from Aldi/Lidl. With the two clips at the front and the two rear metal loops I've found it pretty easy to make the bags fit. In fact I've used the old Baglux shoulder straps and clips from other kit to make them fit. Give it a go. It doesn't have to look crap just use a bit of ingenuity.

Hi Mike
You can buy the quick release fitting from Baglux and attach them to another make of tank bag to fit your baglux tank cover.
Baglux have a stall at the BMF rally in May you could check out there full range of tank bags if no luck there will be plenty of stalls selling much cheaper tank bags. You could even bring your tank with you to check fitting.

Thanks for the replies - Ive got a Lidl magnetic tankbag that fits great on my GS but it's miles too big to bodge on the XT. I'll just wait until I can see a few other options.....
Thanks again Mike

The one I've got is two bags, one big, one small, that zip together to make a two tier megga job. I just use the small one on it's own. You can use just the map pocket too, which is what everything else zips to. Maybe this one was from Aldi, I forget. Great kit for £15!
