Bike turning over unless battery disconnected
Hope some has some ideas, approximately 4 weeks ago bike wouldn’t start when I eventually gave up it carried on trying to turn over despite kill switch off and keys out, took me a while to get new battery sorted as old one not holding charge, went to put it on and bike started to try and turn over, keys still in the house. Any ideas where to start?
Thanks in advance

Hi
99.9% The starter-relay is “sticked”, aka short circuit between the battery side and the starter motor one on the relay, even when no power on the signal side.
Just replace it, and all will be back to normal.

if i understood correctly, starter motor spins the engine despite of kill switch/turned of ignition.
in such case the reason should be a damaged starter relay (solenoid) - connectors became welded together.
i'd suggest to replace it with heavy-duty solenoid (one of the car) if you are able to safely install ~2x bigger one with slight changes in wiring.
