I haven't but they seem an interesting addition. I wonder if they fit a DJ02 as it's not listed.

interesting and price is ok
but just bear in mind that things like spring rate, oil level and viscosity will have much greater impact on fork performance.
all what a preload adjuster does is regulate your front ride height by +/- 15mm or so

Not too mention the fact that you can change your ride height cutting different lengths of PVC tube instead of the original distance spacer for 2 euro

as long as you dont expect this adjuster to solve major issues, yes, it's a nice addition.

I have adjusters on my YZF original and its maybe 1,5cm max adjustment, fully out you can make it go down pretty easy forcing it by pressing with brake on. Fully loaded its not changing much pressing it down, but this is made from factory and its adjustment on the other end aswell. I recomend buying the progressive springs and thats it, if you buy this to save money its not the same making a spring harder by compressing the soft one.

I've tried them on an NX650 and they were rubbish. They're poorly made and do nothing.

Don't waste your time and money.

I use aluminium pipe. Pvc might crack.

They might, but they havent cracked in any of my bikes, some with quite some mileage.. of course they need to lean on the washer above the springs, not directly on them.


on a sport bike like a ysf it makes much more sense, they can make a difference in how the bike turns, but road bikes have only 120mm or so travel. on a long travel suspension, there's less effect

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
