Front suspension help.
I have a XT600e 3WR 2003. Its new to me and Im trying to get it traveling along at its best.
When I ride a dirt trail if I hit a small mound or hump the front forks compress ok but they seem to spring back out once the front wheel is unweighted or airborne with a nasty clunk noise. Its like the fork springs are pushing the fork tubes back out until they hits their maximum out with a metal on metal clunk.
Is this a fork oil problem or am I hitting these humps and bumps to fast? Am I expecting to much out of the front suspension?
I'm thinking the forks are stock and never been played with? The seals are dry and show no signs of leaking.
Any advise is very appreciated. Cheers, Kevin.
