I'm selling my 1984 Tenere

I've been thinking about it for a while now and I've finaly decided the Tenere needs a new home.
I've had some great times on it and love it to bits but I'm wanting a 'Motorway Bike' and the Tenere isn't it.

I'll be getting it MOT'd and it's going on Ebay. If anyone is intrested drop me a PM.
I have LOADS of spares - Wheels, forks, engine and more.

Pricewise - I dunno.....
It depends how much you want it.

I know I'm going to regret getting rid of it as soon as it's sold.

I see from the amount of views there's a bit of intrest.

The bike is getting it's MOT on Saturday morning and will be on Ebay later in the day.

I'm looking for £750+ with all the bits I have - there is also alot of intrest in them too.

The spare engine I have is a 'special' with ported head and high compression piston. I havent fitted it yet but should have a bit more oomph than a standard lump when finished!!!

The bike is over 25 years old (and it shows) but it's the best fun I've had with my clothes on!!!

MOT done!!!

Just had an advisory on the rear suspension - slight free play when the wheel is in the air.
It's normal on XT's, my other XT had it and my Brothers 2002 XT600 had the same.

Like I said before I'm after a road bike - If anyone wants a swap/part ex let me know.

Bike starts on Ebay at 6-00pm 15/8/2009

Item number 160356005999

Hi Tenere Tom:

1> Yep you will absolutely regret selling that bike, particularly mid-recession.
2> Geocaching is anoracky, and looking back at my bike on the post above, and remembering all the good times I had...
I really really want another Tenere to go to those remote locations again.
3>would really like some high resolution photos of your bike and what bits you have.

Cheers and hope (for your sake) someone bids more than I will!

Well, it sells tomorrow. There's been loads of intrest and the bidding is going well.
I've already found it's replacement - it's an old GSXR1100. A slight change of style I think you will all agree.
I will be able to munch the miles with less effort and at twice the speed!!!

F**king Ebay!!!

Due to me putting in my listing that I would consider a swap or part ex Ebay have decided that I have broke the rules and pulled it - with less than 6 hours to go!!!

I have quickly re-worded it and re-listed it with a 'Buy it Now' for just 3 days.

This bike MUST sell and I am open to offers - See the listing.

Bad luck with that. I had a listing pulled because I included "cheque, PO or cash" as a method of payment, when I should have said "cash on collection" or something, and another where I wrote "item is advertised elsewhere and may be withdrawn". Apparently that is in breach of their rules too, although you see many, many listings with that in.

Ebay - you can't f***ing win.

Hope it sells, anyway.

Thanks BDZ!!!

I've had some offers already, none I have accepted as they were below what the bike had already got to before Ebay pulled it.
