PDF manual for 84 thru 86 XT600 USA version
I have acquired a Genuine Yamaha Service Manual for the USA version 84-87 XT600 standard model.
When I find time, I am going to scan it into a PDF. I see a need for it as I searched far and wide for a PDF manual and NEVER found one exactly for my bikes. I know there are many similarities across the models but I wanted an EXACT manual, not a poor Clymer manual.
If any are in need of one, post here and I will try and honor your requests in time. I will offer it to this and other forums for their archive as well.
I am NOT a Bored Westerner as one alluded to here but genuinely wish to help my fellow enthusiasts.

Nice one Steve.
When it's been scanned, you will need to upload it on to a server so that it can be easily downloaded. Anyone with a website can do it easily for nothing, they just need a minute amount of unused server disk space.
I wonder if Moto Andalucia might very kindly oblige you? Their free download page is truly superb.
I will be most happy to add the link to the manual/part sticky's on this sub-forum.
As you say, it's in everyone's interest to contribute.
Might be a big job scanning every single page.

Good Idea. when I was looking I couldn't find any either, so I just bought my own hardcopy. Since I am bored I have the time to page through it
If everyone would quit buying those Clymers and Haynes they would go away I have no good use for them.

I visited there when I was looking, not much for US models and many were in a foreign language to boot.

Did you check all the way through the manual for an English translation?

Yep, they just don't have the US versions.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
