Recomendations for rear shock and spring
1990 XT600. North American version, not the Tenere. Price is an issue. Ohlins is a no no!
Does a headlight from another bike fit this model? My old DR350 light will fit but will have to do some hacking etc. Would prefer not to do this. Bikebandit wants $91 US for a light.
Bike has been sitting for a while. Changed oil and filter etc. Bike smokes blue on cold start up, then stops as the engine gets warmer. When bike is started on warm start up. No smoke. Valve seals?
I have no shop manual for it but have gotten the valve clearance specs. Are these specs for TDC or will there be another timing mark I should go by?
Thanks! Looking forward to hitting the logging roads this year!

Have the rear shock repaired. Here it costs about € 90,--
Blue smoke when cold is oil passing the piston rings. Inlet valve stem seals don't produce smoke, exhaust probably do.
Valve clearance always at TDC of compression stroke, or at least when rockers are not engaging.
