Thanks Neil

I've have had an SRX6 (608cc, although some models were 598cc just like the XT) for around the last 18 months, and just got myself an XT6. basically the same engine, with a few differences in the bottom end that i could see.
in my limited experience (n = 1) the XT engine is smoother and revs a bit more freely (both bikes are completely stock), although this could just be because the SRX6 is getting a little worn (32k kms on the SRX6 vs 10k kms on the XT6)
Cheers,
Phil

www.xt600.de has the info you need. All you need is babelfish and a bit of imagination. Try searching previous posts in this forum.
My 1vj has a late model 3aj engine with the better engine mods, ie barrel, head, oil pump, gearbox oil feed etc. Went straight in. Later engines need either alternator case swap from 1vj engine or wiring mods.
Hope this helps, Neil

Do XT and SRX series use the same carburetor?

As far as I know, they are all variations of the Tekei 27 double carb.
