Hi, I only tried this stuff once...... 20 years ago!! It was rubbish then and very messy.
I don't know if modern stuff is any better. I always carried a spare tube + patches and still do. I prefer to change the tube if I puncture.

Hi Gullman, thanks for that.
I had a yamaha tdm 850 and i sold it 2 weeks ago because the bike was very heavy in dirt roads and a little bit rocky and the XT is a pleasure riding this bike on these roads, much more fun....
But,the XT only has a side stand and not a center stand so, how can you support the bike because i think it's very dangerous from falling over.
Is there some way to hold the bike from not falling over, i've search the internet but there wasn't too much help about that.
Some people said about puting some rocks right below the engine and lift the bike, but i think it is dangerous.
So, do you know any tips, advices about how you can you this in the middle of nowhere? jejeje
Thanks again

A coca cola crate does the trick but they might not be around in teh middle of whatever.
I have seen people putting the bike on rocks, works well. Myself I have a pipe of about 40 cms, 15mm diamater that I put under the bash plate, in different positions for front and back wheel.
You cab also get center stands for the Tenere, I think Wunderlich has them.

I have only had my XT for a year and never had to fix a puncture yet, thankfully.
Fitting a bash plate probably makes it easier to prop the bike up on whatever is available. It might be possible to use a rope and suspend the bike from a tree!!
Neccesity is the mother of invention as they say.
Must be some spectacular riding in Chile, I am from Scotland which is nice in it's own wild/wet way!
