Who wants a better seat?
I have talked with the guys at Seat Concepts. They do not currently make a seat for the xt600e. But, If I can find 4 or 5 guys who want a seat for a 1990 - 1995 xt 600E they will consider making a batch. I would have to send my pan to make a mold for the foam and cover they can send or you can send your pan for installation. Check out their web site and give me some feedback. My ass hurts. THUMPTHUMP

I have seen one for a first gen and it is called a gunfighter and is totally impractical for a duel sport. It is a single seat design. You can not slide back and is as hard as a rock. The shape makes it hard to put your feet down at a stop. Plus it looks stupid. I had one on a road bike and loved it but not on a tall duel sport. Thanks for the feedback though, You're the first. I guess everyone is happy with theirs. THUMPTHUMP

I took a look at the corbin seat for the e start. It looks much better than the one they had for the 84-89 model. However $343 bucks is too steep. The seat concepts would be $ 159, or $ 179 if you want them to install it on your pan. This is much more inline with my pocket. I just need a few people who feel the same. THUMPTHUMP

But the 343 is for a complere seat, right?
I bet you get close to that real fast by shipping your seatpan to them, and have them ship it back.
Just wanted to let you know. Hope you get yourself a nice new seat, regarding the brand.

Ok, think it would be cheaper for me to have a new made here, problem is matching colour on the light blue.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
