Starter Solenoid pictures Please!
Im currently trying to rewire a 1996 4PT (the first version that still used the 3TB engine) that has previously been used as a field bike had had a very bad home made wiring job. Im using a loom from a 2001 model that I got from ebay but have run into a problem. I bought a new starter solenoid for a 1996 model but it does not apear to be compatible with the connections on the 2001 loom i'm using.

The new starter solenoid has 2 wires coming from it but the loom has 4 wires (3 into a connector and one black wire with a male bullet connector, not sure of the colours as im currently away from the bike).
Does anyone have a pic they could post or email me of the area around the starter solenoid/battery so I can check how everything is connected and wether or not I need to order a new solenoid from a later model? I also beleive the fuses are built into the later solenoids?

Any help with this would be appreciated guys including any pics from a 1996 model if possible so I can see the differences.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
