Intake manifolds re-vulcanizable?
I just ordered new intake manifolds for my '94 XT600E due to the dreaded (but apparently fairly common) separation of the aluminum plates from the rubber flanges. At $105 USD (including 2 new "O" rings), how long do these seem to last? Was this something due to some bad, old factory stock or does it happen repeatedly? Also, is it possible to "re-vulcanize" the old pieces back together (even if just for a spare set)?
