, and I've since traced it to the stator. I replaced the original yamaha stator(with what looks like resin all over it) to one of the chinese(I think) type ones off ebay. Has anyone had issues with these? My bike is now running great 
, but I was wondering, did I do the right thing? Would a genuine stator been the better way to go? They are hellishly more expensive, like 300 dollars compared to 80 dollars on the knock off one. Thanks in advance.
