For Sale in Europe: USA reg. BMW R1200 GS LC
Red, 2014 BMW R1200 GS LC (R 1200 GSW)
Florida registered, one owner, travel-ready, with around 39000 kms on the clock.
The bike has all BMW premium packages plus the spoke wheel option. All BMW service records, in immaculate condition.
Among the installed accessories are:
- Hepco Becker crash bars
- SW-Motech heavy duty skid plate
- Radiator protection grill
- SW-Motech headlight shield
- Touratech handlebar riser
- Touratech top rack (not seen in pics)
- Hepco Becker side racks
- Pelican StormCase panniers with Caribou quick release mounts
- HyperPro progressive springs (lowers the bike ~2cm)
- BMW low seat
* The top case, tank bag, and dry bag seen in the photos are not included.
* Original springs also provided.
Buyer does not have to be a US Citizen. Shipping the bike back to US should cost around $1000.
This bike was ideal for exploring Europe, Morocco, & Turkey 2-up, but doesn't fit our future travel plans equally well.

Hi there,
Any rough idea of where in Europe you will be leaving the bike and when?
Any known issues?
And how much are you looking for and in what currency?
Cheers, John

Hi. Bike’s now in Greece. I’ll probably head towards Croatia in a couple of weeks, but don’t really have any solid plans.
The bike is as described. We can take her to a bmw dealership for inspection and share the cost. In any case, the bike was recently serviced, and I have all maintenance records. Also, just installed a new set of Scorpion Trail II tyres.
Determining the price should not be hard. It’ll be in USD or equivalent in Euros, based on the second hand market prices in the US.
Cheers..

Hi there, long time no posts. Is the bike still available and in Europe? If yes, have you figured out the price?
Cheers

"Buyer does not have to be a US Citizen"
How does that work when the buyer comes to arrange his insurance for riding this Florida-plated bike in Europe? Won't the buyer need some sort of transfer of title document to show the insurance company that he is the current owner of the bike?

My sincere apologies for the late response...
Yes, the bike is still available. I'd take USD 15k for it, equipped as described.
I've noticed that I'm enjoying many advantages of traveling on a US plated bike over here, and might not be equally lucky next time I ship a bike over (customs can be a PITA), so the idea of keeping it as a second bike has grown on me quite a bit. Hence the lack of enthusiasm to renew the post etc.
If the price sounds reasonable, please send me a message.
Cheers,
Serdar
PS. Some more recent images to inspire a journey on this side of the pond...
If anyone cares, I sometimes share stuff on instagram (@serdar.world).
She got on the scale at last year's HU Switzerland meeting... Fully fueled, with accessories, and unloaded: 280kgs. Makes her a fat pig in my book. Albeit a lovable one

You do get a title transfer of course. Unless things have changed, the procedure is the same as a US buyer. Just need an FL address (of a friend etc.) to receive the new title and registration card.
I have a feeling there would be quite a few posts detailing this in HUBB because many non-US travelers buy their bikes in the US before starting their South America expeditions, then sell their bikes down in Colombia, Argentina, etc.
IMPORTANT: Please note that driving a foreign registered vehicle in one’s home country generally is not possible, save an exception or two (like dual citizenship etc.). This would practically bar this bike from Europe if purchased by a EU resident or citizen.
