2018 Suzuki WeeStrom XT For Sale in Ecuador!

I have a completely travel-equipped beautiful WeeStrom (2018 Suzuki DL 650XT with a US title and registration that entered Ecuador in January 2020. Since I was here in Cuenca, at the beginning of the pandemic, it is still legal.

I am only looking to sell my 4th WeeStrom because I can't nationalize it here and want to finally stay in one place after moto travelling for over 12 years in 65+ countries.

I spent almost a year researching what I wanted on my últimate Wee and then finding where to source the the parts and tools that I wanted, and finally installing and testing it. I rode around the northeast, US and Canada, then down to Miami in order to ship it to Cartagena, Colombia before riding it to Ushuaia and back up to Ecuador.

You couldn't ask for a better equipped ride, especially for 2-up adventuring in Latin America.

All upgrades for you to consider: heated grips, center stand, risers/setbacks, 3-way convertible top box with backrest and brake light, crash bars, skid plate, major front & rear suspension upgrades including a fork brace, Givi clip-on tank bag and locking tool case, mirror extenders, taller windscreen & adjustable mount, Kaoko cruise control, pvc tool tube, seat cover, flashing brake lights, Gecko bike cover, wrist rest, custom heel shifter, racks & panniers, pannier handles, stashbox license plate, lowered foot pegs, many stuffsacks, highway pegs, spare parts, auto chain oiler, spare gas & water racks, magnetic drain plug, loud horn, etc.

I estimate I have $13,000+ invested, not counting the countless hours to research and install the specialized accessories.

Good looking bike. How many miles, how long can the bike be in country after sale, and what are you looking to get for it?

I have 35k kilometers. I could sell it 2 ways.
My preference would be to sell only the bike, without the accessories, because I will just buy another one, my fifth. I think $6000 would be fair. The other way would be to include all the extra equipment for $8000.
In addition, the plate is a handicapped one, which is occasionally useful, and quite unique.

Moto Remaining In Ecuador

Good question that I will explore.
My belief is that with notorized transfer of ownership that would also transfer the permission to the buyer and would therefore be their latest departure date.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
