Lonerider service
Hi, has anyone else experienced poor service from this company. I ordered a new moto tent at the beginning of July for a trip around Australia, delivery time was 4-7 days, nothing arrived, so I sent an email only to be told it has been changed to late July, the next email tells me I won’t get it until early September, I’m almost $800 australian out pocket for a tent I don’t have , and yet their web site still advertises 4-7 delivery, this is just not fare or honest. Anyone else had this experience,
Thanks in advance
Steve.

You can't tell them you want your money back as they can't deliver can you? And then go and buy something somewhere else that is in stock.
I do feel your pain though - last October we started a project to renovate our shower room. Everything we needed to complete the job turned up on time except for one item. That arrived - yesterday.

OP, I don't know how this works under Australian law, but here in the US I would 1) Request a full refund, and if unsatisfied 2) Contest the charge on my credit card or other means of payment. Preserve records of all communications to and from anyone involved, of course, and bear in mind the time limits for filing complaints.
Hope that's helpful.

Hi thanks for the reply’s, I really would like to continue to purchase the tent as I think it’s a quality product, I just want them to confirm that either I will get the tent in a reasonable time frame or if not they should be honest and offer a full refund, I just want to know if I can trust this company or not.

Update
Just to let you know I had my tent delivered today, it looks great and can’t wait to use it, it took about a month from order to delivery, would recommend you check with lone rider about delivery times if your in a rush, stay upright every one

Lone Rider claims they offer the best products, the best after sale service, but conditional you own a GS.
Last year I placed an order of two items. I could see my order was ready to be delivered for more than two weeks.
I had to contact them. It took a week to receive one item. I had to contact them to remind that I ordered and paid for 2 identical items. It took another week to receive the second item.
Maybe two months later I received a third item identical to the previous ones that I had not ordered. It sits in the basement.
If you own a GS let them know it could wake them up

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
