Central/South American countries you can currently fly to?

I am just curious to know of countries where you (I am Canadian) can fly to right now for a trip?

Are there any?

The goal of the thread is not to discuss the dangers of doing so reagarding Covid, it is to see where it would be currently possible.

A little Googling found this article on what countries are apparently allowing foreign visitors. It is dated October 6th.

https://www.traveloffpath.com/latin-...ening-borders/

Example:
Ecuador
Now Open

Ecuador resumed international flights with limited capacity on June 1st, 2020.

Entry Requirements

All arriving passengers are required to have the results of a negative PCR COVID test within the last 10 days prior to arrival.
If testing is not available in your country, you must sign a declaration that you agree to undergo testing in Ecuador upon arrival, and quarantine until results are ready

Do you live in Canada? If so I'll take the opportunity to ask whether you know the requirements for entry (and your return)? I am Canadian and live in Colombia. We would like to visit family, however would prefer not to spend the first two weeks in a hotel in quarantine...

To give a sense of things here, you can now travel internally without much more than the usual restrictions (mask, physical distancing, etc.), however when we went to visit family here in the last month we went through a couple of BioSecurity checkpoints, where the vehicle was washed down with a high pressure disinfectant spray, we were then washed down as well, in a roadside shower stall, washed our hands at foot-operated sink, and had our details recorded (names, addresses, identity numbers, phone numbers). On arriving at our destination all of the above again, plus wash down of luggage. Many places you might like to visit are closed (theatres, museums, art galleries).

AC has flights into BOG from YYZ.

Anyone flying into Canada must self-isolate for two weeks after arrival. Apparently on some .CA government web-site, there is a form you must have completed when you arrive that outlines your quarantine plan: where will you stay in isolation, how will you get food or supplies delivered to you, etc. There are some hefty fines if you break the plan.

you can fly into nicaragua. currently, only avianca is operating flights in and out.

requirement is a negative PCR test within 72 hours of your arrival. you will also have to upload certain docs to avianca prior to departure date.

Yes I am Canadian. 14 days at home up return is very doable for me. I can work from home and I can manage. I am more concerned with my time in the country chosen.

I know Colombia pretty well. Do you know if the touristy towns are open and running? Like if I go to Salento will there be restaurants open and the coffee tour companies will be open?

My goal would be to fly in somehwere and ride around some, stay at hostels.

Jfman,

https://flattenthecurve.global/

When you click on a country page, it cites the latest info added date at the top.

They claim to get there data from Johns Hopkins.

Safe travels to all,

The number of cases seems to be ramping up in the area that I live in. So currently I feel like it is unreasonnable to travel overseas, meaning I would be part of the problem.

There's just no easy way to make lemonade out of these lemons.

My gilfriend and I are starting to talk about an organized snowmobile trip thru the Laurentians this winter.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
