Hello to everyone,
It may be that you are planning go to Spain this spring. It may also be that you love asphalt, trail and light enduro riding. It may even be that you have a nice command of Spanish and, apart from speaking like a gringo in Spain (always welcome), you even feel like improving your Spanish language skills… And it may definitely be that you would like to do all that in a single weekend during your visit to Spain, meeting fellow riders in a country where motorcycling is a paramount thing.
So, from 24th to 26th May it be held a 10th year anniversary meeting of MOTOSTRAIL.COM, a forum site dedicated to trail riding (including twisty asphalt and above all lots of gree-laning), motorcycle travelling, with great passion for rallies, sand and dunes and “bajarse al moro” (=lit. “go down to the Moorish”, aka riding in Morocco and beyond), and not at all brand oriented (like BMW/KTM forums and the like), but open to all riders with any bike and these interests in common.
The meeting will take place in Cardona, Barcelona, under (surely) sunny Catalonian skies. There will be excursions on asphalt, green laning and some enduro, as well as the possibility of riding the Cardona enduro circuit for those looking for a more hardcore approach, all staying a big area to pitch your tent on “self-catering” (not a proper camping, but similar facilities), although drinks and bbq dinner is also available on an extra cost.
For detailed info on activities and costs (in Spanish),
just click on this link write directly to Fazer at
webmaster@motostrail.com or just ask here and I'll do my best to answer/work as a translator.
I hope this is not considered like advertising. I’m posting this information because I think it will be a great experience for anyone visiting Spain at the time and I’d love myself to get there, although I cannot tell now if my (new) family obligations allow me to. But I would like to share the info with you here anyway. Pointed by someone here in HUBB, I joined motostrail.com and I can only say I’m really enjoying the contents, all with a very nice, respectful and open-minded attitude by all members, so I’m sure it’s going to be great fun.
Wish you great fun if you make it there or you just happen to go to Spain.
Regards,
Esteban
