Renting a bike in Europe

instead of shipping my bike I am looking to rent one in Europe somewhere. I have found a place in Krakow Poland called motoride but can find very few reviews. They rent BMW 1200's for 105 CAD/day. Which is great, but am skeptical with so few reviews. I would like somewhere around the Alps, Poland, Germany. Not too far west- like Spain, Portugal, Bordeaux.... and experiences renting in these areas? Details too please and thanks.... Also any advice in general.

Hi,

We're providing rentals from Suzuki V-strom 650 and 1000 to BMW GS 1200 air AC and LC.

Located in Zagreb, Croatia, so just 1,5 h ride from Alps, 1,5 h ride from Adriatic coast, 1 h ride from Bosnia and Herzegovina and if you want to catch ferry to Spain and Morocco or Tunisia and Algeria from us it's just 24-36 h.

We offer quite competitive pricing for rentals as we want clients to taste the waters of our location and in the future if they like it we're enabling them to buy the motorcycle long term here and use it for their trips in multiple outing in the 2+year period. Bikes can be shared as well, dropping the costs down if needed.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
