Temporary motorcycle storage in Balkans for summer 2023

Hi all,

We are a Canadian couple exploring eastern Europe on a 2002 Kawi ZRX 1200R and a 2016 Honda CB500x. Our bikes are currently stored in Budapest, Hungary.

We plan to return to Budapest in May or June 2023 and continue the ride from there. We're interested in exploring the Balkans for about 3 weeks in May/June, then leaving the bikes in storage for the summer, and returning sometime in October or November 2023 to retrieve the bikes and explore Greece, Turkey, or southern Italy.

Does anyone have any information on temporary storage options in the Balkans? We're particularly interested in storage options for Bosnia, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece, Romania, Croatia, or Bulgaria (I'm aware of Motocamp Bulgaria).

We're not looking for anything fancy - just something safe and secure and out of the elements, ideally within a few hours of an airport.

Please message me if you have any ideas.

Thanks,

Beaudin & Kathryn

Victoria, BC, Canada

There's also Lobagola moto Tours in Zagreb, they have a storage area and there's an airport not far away. Not sure if I'm allowed to post their website here but it's easy enough to find it or their facebook page. Safe journey.

Send me a message if weekend house in Skopje, Macedonia is appropriate place for you. 10 minutes to Skopje airport. Bikes can stay no more than 6 months, according the law.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
