honda xl700V regulator rectifier
Hi Folks!
Does the new Honda Transalp XL700 has a regulator rectifier? I know that the 600 and 650 has for sure!
I'm asking this because I looking for buying a spare one for my one and I can't find anywhere.
Thanks!!!!!

I can't think of a bike that DOESN'T have one !!
However, it might be integrated into another component such as the stator/alternator.
Phone your Honda dealer and ask them.

You are right mate! My mistake, it has one and cost £230 on Honda dealer.
I know that the regulator rectifier was a big weak point for Honda motorcycles, specially for the ones built until 2005. For Transalps 600 and 650, is highly recommended to have a spare one for long trips across the world, and they are quite affordable, you can find it for £70 pounds on ebay, but what about the new XL700V? Does it come with a more reliable regulator rectifier? I would like to know about it, because, I can't find aftermarket ones on ebay or anywhere, just with Honda for the high price of £230 pounds.

We have an Africa Twin XRV 750 RD07a and a Transalp XL700VA RD13. Whilst my AT rectifier has been replaced by a MOSFET rectifier, I do not see the necessity to do the same on Missus´ Transalp, as there are virtually zero reports on a blown rectifier on that model (which, in case of the RD07, was known to kill the electrics on the bike and cook the battery) and I have never felt the necessity to take a spare on long trips. The rectifier is behind the left rear fairing.
Cheers
