HU Germany Summer 2019 is 30 May-2 June
The 22nd HU Germany Travellers Meeting! Hooray Jens! Great location in a fantastic riding area - Campingplatz Pfrimmtal - 35 km west of the Rhine river, about 50 km south of Mainz, just at the entrance of one of the best riding areas of Germany - the Pfälzer Wald! A proper campground with great facilities - even showers! Jens Ruprecht is hosting this event.
Mark your calendars, online registration is open now with early bird rates!

Is there anywhere at HU DE for off-road riding or any off-road rideouts?
Thanks.

ride-outs
They say this:
Horizons Unlimited Germany Ride-outs
Some folks will be going on ride-outs in this awesome riding area. You are welcome to join them! Note: These are NOT organised by Horizons Unlimited.
Ride-outs are limited to 6 or 10 people per ride, no exceptions.
All rides will be back on site at or before 5.00pm
Road Rides - two planned, details to come.
Off-road - we could use some help - any ideas, locations, routes, off-road tracks?
I'm also looking for of-road rides to join and do some tracks. I know of ACT of touratec that has established tracks in Portugal, Greece and Rominia.

Hello from Germany,
I am no lawyer, but this is my knowledge:
there is basicly no off-road riding in Germany. Nearly all roads open for public traffic are asphalt.
Farm tracks, forest roads and such are not open for public traffic. Some have signs on then some don't, it doesn't matter.
That is the legal situation. It might be tolerated here an there (most of the time in sparsly populated areas), but don't count on that. You might run into the cop which had a bad day...
Cheers
Martin

Hello from Bavaria (also Germany),
I am also not a lawyer but I think you are wrong Martin. According to my knowledge the usags of forrest roads, farm roads, geavel roads etc. is under the jurstiction of each state in Germany. As far as I know and to the best of my knowledge it is legal to ride such roads in Bavaria if not forbidden by a sign.
HU Germany-Meeting is in Rhineland Palatinate (State within Germany) of which I have no Idea about the legislation regarding unpaved roads.
Cheers, Uli

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
