Grant/Susan,
Jan & I will be in SA at that time heading to South America, so if wanted could show a film or give a presentation if you are short on presenters, if not we will try and make it anyway.
Cheers

Good to see people signing up, they're coming in steadily, and it's all starting to come together nicely. I'm sure it's going to be amazing!
Of course we're always looking for more presenters too. If you have skills in any bike technical area (tech seminars are always in high demand), or if want to talk about your trip, (whether it's somewhere in SA or around the world, if it was an adventure for you, it will be for others too) please sign up to present!

Only 3 days to go!
The first HU South Africa travellers meeting is happening soon at the fabulous Elgro River game lodge and conference centre from Nov 13-16.
There's a great mix of travel tales and practical advice sessions that will inspire you and get you ready for your (next) trip. The slide shows, discussion groups, tech clinics and demonstrations will start Thursday afternoon and continue all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. If you haven't already, download the Draft Event Schedule to find out what's happening:

For this first ever HU South Africa meeting, we've got heaps of great presenters...
Jolandie Rust, the first woman to ride around Africa alone
Lorraine Chittock, wild life woman and author
Alex Jackson, ride for rhinos solo around southern Africa
Paul and Jan Dwyer, round-the-world travelling couple
Kobus Fourie, Cairo to Cape Town
Grant and Susan Johnson, how it all began...
Practical sessions include riding techniques, film making while overlanding, motorcycle ergonomics, bike mods, tool kits, long distance travel tips, tire changing and other informative workshops and discussions.
See all the details here: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/eve...th-africa-2014
We're looking forward to meeting you there!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
