Shipping Motorcyle
Hello, I am interested in shipping my bike from Toronto to Dublin for the event and ride for 2 wks while in Ireland. I figure the cost of a rental in Ireland will be about the same as the shipping fee.
I am in the information gathering stage. I will likely fly with AC and ship with them as well.
Just wondering, beyond getting the dangerous materials clearance for the bike, will I need any other papers to ride the bike in Ireland? Does the bike have to be registered or any declaration required once landed?
Thanks,
Andy

Andy - Im not sure exactly what is required in Ireland but from my experience of riding in other countries - International driving licence - original registration certificate for the bike - original insurance certificate and a few copies of all that with you at all times -
I am not sure if I will be in Ireland at that time although Im planning to go to the event but I can sort out secure bike storage and accommodation for you while in Dublin (free) if you need it ! you may have to share a bit with my University sons !! let me know my direct email address is \

Thanks for the useful link and information.
I am reconsidering shipping my bike over since I will be there for less than 2 weeks. It may be more straightforward just to rent this time.
Cheers

Great weekend. Thanks to Jochen, Liam, Geraldine, Brian, and all the presenters, and anyone involved in organising it.
Great to meet up again with some of the guys from the UKGSer event in Donegal earlier in the year.
There was a dude operating a drone camera over the weekend - what's the story there? Will that video make it out on to the www?

Ey, it were a good weekend. Though i dont know how hurling players can play on such a windy field. I think the drone was Wassims' he has footage of it on his facebook page . Search for Goodwill Journey. I thought it were a blooming grass strimmer/wipper snipper.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
