Seeking teachers in Pakistan

Going to Pakistan? Why not spend some time teaching in a small school run by a British lady in Northern Pakistan. It'll be an adventure.

Contact me, or post here for more details.

Langlands school in Northern Pakistan was set up by a British Army Major 60 years ago. At 94 he retired last year and, through twitter I know the new Head teacher. She emailed me..."I now run a school in Chitral in Northern Pakistan, and am looking for English volunteer teachers, especially for Science and Maths. Do you happen to have any friends who would be up for an adventure ? The place is wild but very lovely, and the pupils and parents are very grateful indeed to anyone who arrives to help their children."

Take a look at this short BBC Video on the Major (They don't make 'em like this anymore!)

or this article in the UK Guardian newspaper

I don't know anymore but if anyone is still interested I can give you Carey Scvhofiled's email (Incidentally, she written a book "Inside the Pakistan Army: A Woman's experience on the frontline of the war on terror" which you can find here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Inside-Pakis...arey+schofield

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
