Saving money tank panniers.
Found a really cheap but great way to get waterproof tank panniers cheap. From fleabay .
1 PR USED GREEN NYLON MOTORCYCLE PANNIERS HEAVY DUTY | eBay
These little beauties are 12 quid the pair and because they are nylon you can clean them up no problem , paint them no problem and waterproof them with spray waterproofing .
They have loads of little pockets pen holders etc inside and the at the bottom of each pannier is a cord that are about 25 to 30 inches long to wrap around anywhere to keep them tight to the bike . I found by going to tesco you can buy a tupperware box that fits just snuggly inside for such stuff as first aid kits mobile phones etc , things you dont want to get wet . the other alternative is to cut a plastic gallon can( ie the sort you can get screen wash in )about a third of the way down and this also fits nice and sniggly into the pannier also giving the side a bit of stiffness.
Hope this helps someone save a bit of cash on preperation
All the best Martn

Those things are great, I picked em up in Hanoi and they've lasted me well for the last six month and are still going strong. Water proof, crash proof, and even a little exhaust proof. Usually gotta take em in with you when you leave the bike though. I think I paid like 10USD for mine.

Looks great for the money, for added waterproofing stick the contents in a heavy duty bin bag
