Great Minds
It is said that "great minds think alike." I, too, pondered this village name and a BMW happening.
The organizer, who is hosting the event, is using his home/museum/yard, etc. as the venue, so no mischievousness.
The possible oxymoron reminded me of when Carbon Country, Montana only had standard motorcycle license plates that started with BMW after the country number some years ago. There was a rumor that the "boss" in the license plate shop at the State prison (where the plates were made) was a BMW aficionado, but that rumor was never proven as true.
Harleysville for a BMW party - let's say it's possibly cosmic or karma :-)
When I lived near there, and was driving my BMW motorcycle to and from Philadelphia and passing through Harleysville five days a week, I was superstitious enough to never stop or blink. Not once did the motorcycle ever have a flat tire, run out of gas or burp.
So far the "Anniversary" is cracking up to be a cracking good gathering.
