Hello guys,

I did the trip of 10 days with my car, from north east of the coast, then have stayed some days in the south of the Aures mountains and finish in Ghardaia.
Sleeping in hotels and some days asked nice people to sleep in their houses ( no problem).
About visas i think you need to have an invitation, i know there is a a french agency "horizon nomades" wich makes some trip in the north, no guide is needed for the north but you should ride in the principal roads.
Peaple should know that Algeria is not only desert.

Thanks KTM for your reply, it sounds very interesting to me.
I have another question: how did you entered in Algeria: Tunisian border, Ferry from France?
And also, what is your nationality, because it seems to me you hadn't a visa for this trip, I'm wrong?

Tunisia > Algeria > Spain

Hello Friends,

I want to cross the border from Tunisia with Algeria at the end of August 2012. I want to leave Algeria from Oran to Spain by Ferry. I want to stay for something like 2 or 3 months in Algeria. I want to spent a lot of time in Algeria. I'm Dutch, so i need an Visa. But i am looking for information for best places to stay and concerning the ACTUAL security. For this reason i'm looking for people who traveled RECENTLY in Algeria on an Motorcycle.

Who can help me?

Maybe we can meet to!

Bye,

Guus

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
