We can sort this out in Osh instead and hope for the best.
It will be interesting to know what happens at the border!
Let us know as you will be there ahead of us

I noticed that the online form asks for the place of stay. Does this mean we should pre-book the stay?

Sid, when I did my application online, last summer, I don't remember being asked where I would stay. We had nothing booked!
But if now it is required, just put anything. No one at the border will check!
The Visa/GBAO permit document did not show anything like that, once i was granted.
all in all, it is easy and straightforward.

Hi,
A friend of mine and myself are trying to apply for a Taj. e-visa with GBAO permit. Unfortunately, when clicking GBAO the e-visa system is requiring an invitation letter which we do not have.
Does anybody know, how to deal with this to apply an e-visa incl. GBAO without invitation letter.
Thanks
Martin

Martin are you using a computer or tablet for that? Mac or Microsoft?
When I first tried to get the e-visa from my hotel room in Karakol, using my ipad, I had lots of funny pages (asking for hotels bookings etc...) and was stuck in a loop. I could not finalise my request. I tried with both Safari and Chrome for iPad, with same result.
In the end we found a local Internet café, and with a computer (Microsoft Explorer ) it was very fast and completely different set of screens.
If this is the cause let us know. Worth knowing!
Cheers,

Maria,
I've got my Tajikistan e-visa as well as the GBAO permit.
Straightforward as you said.
My friend's issue was, that he struggled at the step where pass port and invitation letter uploads are requested.
One can ignore the invitation letter upload and can continue.
Thanks Martin

I'm a bit confused about the e-visa ( https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html#/apply).
There's only one field for the "date of arrival" even if you have choosen the GBAO-Permit option.
In the FAQs you find the following questions and answers:
Quote:
Do I need to enter Tajikistan on the exact date specified in my application?
No. The validity period of your e-Visa begins from the date specified in your application. You can enter Tajikistan on any date within this period. Electronic visa of the Republic of Tajikistan is valid for 90 days, however the visa holder can stay in the territory of the country for no more than 45 calendar days.
Do I need to enter to GBAO on the exact date specified on my e-Visa?
Yes. You should enter to GBAO which is specified on your e-Visa.

I think, there's some contradiction somehow, isn't it?
Or did I miss something?
Thanks for any enlightment,
Wolle

As I would understand, it means that it is for the same dates as on your e Visa for Tajukistan
