Ouarzazate: Led Voyages
Practically opposite Atlas Studios on the N9 into Ouarzazate from Marrakech, the repair shop is in premises with a sign for Led Voyages (search on Google Maps). I had a serious problem with my KTM 690 that had been ultra-reliable for years.
Initially it was thought to be fuel starvation and a new fuel pump from a Peugeot was fitted. No change, then after the top end was stripped the mechanic found the valve clearances had not been adjusted, with severe damage that then involved one of the rocker bearings being trashed. Peter Grey from Wilderness Wheels (centre in photo below) came up with a replacement bearing, it was reassembled and perfect!
All together it took the mechanic and his assistant two days. I asked how much, he replied, "Comme tu veux" and I gave him 600 dh. He said it was too much and handed back 200 dh. I insisted he have more and we settled on 500 dh.
