Colorado to Inuvic 2015.

Hi All
I'm planning to check off this trip that's been on my list for about 20 yrs. I'm seeking useful info from anyone who has done it before.
I sold my Sportster this summer and bought a G650GS. I'm trying to get use to it in the dirt. So far so good, ~100+ miles.
Thanks for offering any insights.

When in 2015 are you planning the trip? I hope to be wandering around the USA for a year starting in Florida in February 2015 on G650GS

It has turned into a bit of a tourist destination lately. Go thru ross river on your way there, another nice bit of gravel thru beautiful country with what used to be a 230 mile stretch without gas. I am sure there are many threads about the trip to Inuvik on this site. It still ranks as one of my best ever ride experiences (6 separate trips to Inuvik from 1979 thru 2004). Stop by if you head north past Helena Mt. which is between Yellowstone and glacier parks.

Thanks Bill. I'll stop in for a cold one.

A riding buddy would be great. As short or long as you like.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
