Best place to ship from UK to South America?

Hello, we are planning to ship our landy from the UK to South America next year to begin our trip. Ideally we would like to ship into Venezuela and drive down. Does anyone know if this is the best option or is it better to ship into Buenos Aires? Thank you. Jenny.

Hello!

Not sure what your overall plans are, we are hoping to ship from the UK to North America next year and head to Overland Expo, then wander around a little before heading to South America.

Anyway I thought if you had a website or Facebook page site for your travels we could follow your progress, nice to keep up to date with info from other travellers in similar areas!

cheers - Justin

Keep us posted how you go. We might be looking to ship a Landy from northern Europe to South America by the middle of next year.

Thanks everyone. we are in the process of getting some quotes so will keep you posted. We will be shipping probably May time 2016 and flying over. Ideally we wanted to start in the North (Columbia or Venezuela) and drive down-getting to BA in December in time for an Antartica cruise we have booked for Christmas! Then we would carry on around Patagonia afterwards.

Thank you for all your help

Jenny

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
