Step-Thru Pan-Am: Scooting the World's Longest Road
Hey guys,
About 18 months ago we decided we were going to ride classic styled scooters
from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia at the very bottom of South America. 18
months and 2 Bajaj Chetaks later and it's all about to happen! On the 16th of
August we fly with our bikes from New Zealand to Anchorage to begin our trip. We
are well aware of how much of a nightmare this could be and we wouldn't want any
of you to miss out on it. With that in mind we'd like you to register on our
blog and "like" our facebook page. We'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas for
our trip, places to visit, couches to surf etc. We still have some work to do on
the pages but there is a bit of information there about ourselves and what we
are up to

Cool trip and cool rides!
If you can read Italian (not very useful in NZ, though), go for Giorgio Betinelli books, he was (sad, he died not long ago) the Vespa travel guru. I've read "In Vespa" (Rome to Saigon), but now you reminded me I've got "Brum Brum" pending, and it starts in Alaska and goes all the way to Tierra de Fuego (and much more until 254.000kms!!!).
Happy travels, way to go!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
