Road trip from Baku to Bishkek
Hi Steven, hi all,
me and my brother are planning a road trip with our own car in August from Baku to Bishkek.
We should go through Turkmenistan (Turkmenbasi, Ashgabat, Davara) enter Uzbekistan from Dashoguz and go through Khiva - Bukhara - Samarcanda then through the border crossing point of Denau/Tursunzade or Panjakent heading to the Pamir Highway all the way up to Bishkek ( cho thuê xe đi Sapa). The trip should take approximately 18 days.
I know this sound kinda crazy...
I would like to know if in your opinion this sounds doable or not. Is it ok to travel throughout the Turkmenistan desert in August?
I am also trying to gather information on the current status of gas/diesel supply around Bukhara. I've read some posts and driving section which seems not very comforting...
Last but not least any hint on the Dashoguz, the Denau and the Pamir highway crossing points for self driven cars?
Thanks a lot,
