Motorcycle security. Scorpion sr i900 it looks good anyone have one
I have read the threads on security and a little more piece of mind for me would be good. I really like the customer reviews and the way this system works... it has a remote fob that triggers the alarm, either movement , shock, proximity and ignition disablement..the kit is build-able to add ons you want,. I really like the proximity that gives a chirp if some one is near your bike, if they come near it again it goes off.. its also distance adjustable. not only is the alarm loud the key fob which is inside with you vibrates and chirps warning you some one is near or has moved your bike.Runs on FM signal so you dont need phone coverage
I will be touring Europe next year and would like to have my bike there .in the morning...Im thinking a good chain and this alarm might deter the majority of theives...check out the review here, starts off a little slow but gets to the point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUGMQeHaGP4

Scorpion recommendation
I have had the Scorpion for a year and a half and well happy with it. As you have stated, the proximity feature is a bonus and I have seen it in action from afar keeping people off and away from the bike when unattended, not to mention a bear or two sniffing around on my trip up through the Canadian Rockies and west coast last year. The alert on the Fob is also a great feature and has performed its duty well. I can recommend this product.

Scorpion alarm is excellent
I've had great experience with the Scorpion alarm. I've travelled all over South and Central America with soft bags and was never pilfered. The alert range is roughly 100 meters. My worst complaint about the system was the bulky 110V charger for the remote but now thats been solved with a compact USB cable.
The anti-hijack feature is very good and also works up to perhaps 150 meters. If you are not experienced I'd leave the install for a pro.
