Anyone near Baku and/or going to Iran?
I'm in Sheki, Azerbaijan now and riding to Baku tomorrow to get my bike serviced either Saturday or Monday.
I'm kind of fed up being by myself all the time so it would be cool to ride the next part with someone. I'm going to Iran next and then either trying for the Turkmen transit visa in Tehran or going back to Baku and taking the ferry to KZ and then Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan etc.
Haven't decided if I'm going the ferry route of Turkmenistan yet.
Not much of a camper unless necessary but I can adapt

I am crossing tomorrow probably. That is if I make it to the border with enough energy left to cross :-)
Leaving from Baku early in the morning. If someone wants to join, please send me a message

It'll be a while yet but I'll be in Almaty about June 7 and then farting around central asia for the subsequent
month before heading westwards across the Caspian in case any of that aligns. Also a bit bored of solo travel.

Cheers. Not planning on going to Almaty but I'll be doing Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in July & Aug then crossing China Sept. 3rd.
I've added you on FB, who knows, maybe our paths cross in those 2 countries :-)

I'll be in Kyrgyzstan, starting a trip from Bishkek on 9th August. If you will still in the country then let me know, it would be great to ride part of the journey with company!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
